ANDO’s experience dialogues were announced under the title “The Role-Shaping City”.
ANDO Architecture and Interboundary Experience Creation Office announced its first season of specialist discussions under the title “The Role-Shaping City”, with eight planned sessions on innovation and startup ecosystems. The sessions were designed to exchange experience and knowledge among national and international experts and a varied group of participants, including brand owners, investors, entrepreneurs, urban decision-makers and members of the innovation and startup community.
Mohsen Saraji, founder of ANDO, described the aim as developing a new dialogue about the innovation ecosystem through constructive engagement with investors and decision-makers.
He explained that leading experts would give participants an opportunity to learn about major international projects, draw on specialist knowledge, build practical networks and adapt these experiences to their own businesses. The organisers would also consider the different possibilities offered by emerging technologies.
Explaining the choice of “The Role-Shaping City” for the first season, he said the concept explores a new model of urban governance. It gives citizens, investors, academics and members of knowledge-based ecosystems a central role in parts of decision-making and shared responsibility for city development and management. The sessions would present a framework for mapping urban issues and problem-solving processes, with experts discussing its challenges.
Mohsen Saraji added that the format was developed after extensive study of established experience-sharing and entrepreneurship events, the capabilities of knowledge-based companies, and the needs of investors and industrial businesses in Iran. A new approach to selecting speakers and participants and framing problems was intended to introduce a different vocabulary and format for specialist dialogue.
He described support from the innovation community, investors, industrial and economic specialists, and urban decision-makers as an important milestone. The announcement stated that ANDO’s first season would begin in that Iranian calendar year and continue until the winter of 1403.
