A Creative World

SARAAJ Art Space Creation and Development Center provides a setting for creative artistic projects and lasting professional connections across Iran and other countries.

Sarajsar

At Sarajsar, SARAAJ’s workspace, you become part of a sense of place rather than simply occupying a location.

  • A prospective team member should know that joining SARAAJ does not mean following a straight road. Our paths can be winding and demanding, so be ready for complex, engaging and unexplored routes.
  • A prospective team member should know that the Sarajan—the people who make up SARAAJ—will support them from their arrival through their development.
  • A prospective team member should know that being at SARAAJ is a choice: a desire to share dreams and advance them creatively. If that shared aspiration no longer feels meaningful, you can leave the circle and pursue your individual path.
  • A prospective team member should know that we do not understand a working day simply as a number of hours. The original statement describes a voluntary commitment to creating work and maintaining its creative and intellectual continuity.
  • A prospective team member should know that information at SARAAJ is not locked away. The Sarajan bring knowledge to the table and work transparently with one another.
  • A prospective team member should know that discussion at SARAAJ takes place in an open, friendly environment.

SARAAJ and Its Departments

Becoming a Sarajan

At SARAAJ, effectiveness matters alongside efficiency. A strong portfolio demonstrates both: technical and aesthetic quality—doing work well—and attention to choosing the right work. A third important quality is collaboration, particularly the ability to contribute within a team. The following stages help us understand these qualities.

The first skills interview explores your software and technical expertise. A specialist in your field will meet you online and provide the relevant department’s management with a descriptive and numerical assessment. Within a maximum of three working days, you will receive an email with one of the following outcomes:

Thank you for explaining your abilities openly during the skills interview. Unfortunately, for the reasons stated, we are unable to proceed with a collaboration.
Thank you for explaining your abilities openly during the skills interview. We invite you to a second skills interview on the specified date to learn more about you.

This session examines your specialist abilities through theoretical understanding and the practical use of that knowledge. It takes place in person around a mini-project guided by a relevant specialist.
Within a maximum of three working days after the second skills interview, you will receive an email with one of the following outcomes:

Thank you for demonstrating your abilities during the second skills interview. Unfortunately, for the reasons stated, we are unable to proceed with a collaboration.
Thank you for demonstrating your abilities during the second skills interview. The management team invites you to a collaboration interview on the specified date.

The collaboration interview explores how you work with the Sarajan. Members of the relevant department will hear your ideas and consider how you could improve teamwork. Following a vote among department members, the outcome will be sent to you by email.

SARAAJ is concerned with the impact of creative arts. At this stage, the people who guide our culture explore whether your approach and aspirations align with those of the organisation. If they do, collaboration begins on a three-month trial basis. Following a positive assessment of your contribution, you become a Sarajan.
