Mashhad Artists’ House

A unique experience.
Believing in the necessity of the city's dynamism, talking about art, and various artistic expression methods, I studied and assessed the Mashhad city as a social context. By editing a strategic document for the city, I chose the vision and mission of artists and city managers regarding the beautification of the city of Mashhad according to the cultural factor and especially religious beliefs based on local capacities with permanent and temporary approaches.
Holding specialized scientific meetings, valid art events and creating more than 1000 urban works of art with the participation of more than 400 artists per year (2009-2010) based on the key concepts such as nostalgia, happiness and vitality, urban identity, dynamism and life-creation were my most important criteria to change the atmosphere of Mashhad.
This collective project was the result of the efforts of important members, including artists in Mashhad. The main idea of this event belonged to Hadi Mozaffari, director of artistic affairs of Mashhad Municipality that achieved its best within a six-year period with the support of Engineer Pejman, the mayor of Mashhad. My efforts, during these years, as the executive director and deputy head of Mashhad “Welcoming the Spring” headquarter were to create a technical and executive infrastructure and to help performing works of art with a desired executive quality. In addition, the mechanism of preparing contracts for artists and codifying the project control model in all executive components was one of the most important outputs of this cooperation. I hope to have the opportunity soon to collect a set of social, technical, artistic and political experiences of this project in a media medium. This project entitled "Welcoming the Spring" in 2012 was praised by the meeting of The World Association of the Major Metropolises in Guangzhou, China and also in 2013, the International Meeting of the General Assembly of Islamic Cities of the World )OICC (in Mecca.
