Rostam Battle with a Dragon statue in Booshehr port
My main concern in making urban sculptures is "historical and national identity". In 2016, I started making the statue of Rostam's battle with the dragon based on the epic story of Shahnameh and the design of Master Mahmoud Farshchian as the largest statue in Iran water in Persian Gulf and Bushehr port and in 2017, I installed this statue in Booshehr port. The most important feature of this sculpture is its construction within 200 meters from the sea shore and making its foundation at one tide time interval.
We were supposed to install the statue at the depth of 200 meters from the sea, the time required for concreting the statue was 8 hours which was at the distance between a seasonal tide, the longest time of which was in March. It was not possible to carry the portable foundation to the position of the sculpture due to the sandy structure of the sea soil, and we executed the sculpture foundation at a distance of one tide by means of a pump and additional concrete additives.
