Statue of the Sailor

a prophet with the greatness of the sea
In the spring of 2020, the sculpture of the “Sailor” was designed by Sazeh Sazan Persian Gulf Company with the aim of recreating local and mythical stories by us at Saraaj Center for Creation and Development of Art Spaces and after construction was installed and executed at the entrance of the Persian Gulf water desalination project located in Bandar Abbas industrial town in the summer of 2020. Paying attention to the local identity and cover and matching the subject of the sculpture with the function of the source collection has been one of my most important approaches in the design, construction and execution of this sculpture.
One of my personal concerns is the connection between the private and especially industrial sectors with artists and of course art projects, so that this conversation on the one hand leads to the growth and development of art spaces and on the other hand to a unique, creative and practical presentation of Concepts intended by the client.
This high understanding of investors in national projects has been institutionalized in the world's leading countries for many years, and the need to establish this link in the country requires a more precise conversation beyond purely artistic concerns.
In the project of making the sculptor of the “Sailor”, this high understanding of the employer and his knowledge of the parameters of the development of the artistic spaces is commendable and praiseworthy.
