The Ashura Element, a Symbol in Honor of Freedom

Our strategy in this urban monument is to magnify the great sign of mourning of Imam Hussein (PBUH). We also used traditional motifs and colors related to the religious-traditional atmosphere.

The urban symbol of "Sustainability" was designed by Mr. Hassan Mollanorouzi (graphic expert) and its volumetric execution was done and installed by Hassan Mollanorouzi and Maham Sanat Company in the permanent location of Imam Hossein (PBUH) Square in Mashhad in 2013.

This work of art, which was a successful managerial experience of welcoming the spring in the House of Artists in 2013, attracted the attention of the audience.
This urban element, is built considering the Islamic culture and the importance of honoring religious rites, spirituality and commemorating the uprising of Imam Hussein (PBUH); a collection of 3 symbolic signs inspired by the mourning symbols of Neishabour, as the largest Ashura symbol in the country, is made using iron material and is painted by hand.

The tallest sign with a height of 15 meters is a symbol of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the second sign with a height of 12 meters refers to Abu Alfazl (PBUH) and the third sign with a height of 10 meters is a symbol of the smallest soldier of Aba Abdullah, Ali Asghar (PBUH).

In these signs, there are cuts that have been painted red as a symbol of martyrdom.
