The melody of Spring; the urban element

Nowadays, the expansion of industrial cities accompanied by the massive destruction of nature, takes people away from their innate connection to nature. Therefore, creating spaces in urban design that reminds of this can be of high importance and value. The design of this element in 2015, which coincided with the year of the goat in the Iranian astrological calendar, is consisted of a shepherd playing a reed and several goats. Paying attention to the concept of nature, it is also an important innovation in the type and design techniques. This innovation is the transition from illustration to sculpture. These elements were first designed by a famous illustrator and artist of our country, Mr. Nowrozi, and after analyzing construction procedure, they were made of metal sheets. The abstract expression and special technique of making this work was very new in its time and very important experience in the field of sculpture and combining different arts. These statues were built with the height of 5 meters and is located on Laden Boulevard’s entrance in Mashhad.
