The urban element “A Memory Suitcase” is a clear urban symbol from all the trips that weren’t fullfilled and all those trips that only their memories are remained in our minds suitcase.
This suitcase is always with us and its memories increase and decrease in every moment. This statue or in fact the urban monument reminds us of all the travel memories we have ever had and is more than a statue or an element but an art work to inspire travel and adventure that may never have become a reality.
Every moment of life is a memory. Memories that are memorable for the rest of our lives and the best memories for all of us are during traveling. The love to travel is in all of us but some people discover and nurture it while some others surrender to the constraints and conditions of the society.
Saadi Shirazi says:
The one you come to from the trip
Needs no gift
Let me know if you are coming
I give my life to the good news
And a very famous poem says
It takes a lot of travel to be experienced as a Sufi is not pure until he is not drunk.
This project, along with other development of artistic spaces projects in Kish Island, including urban decoration, permanent and temporary urban elements, was designed and executed by Saraaj Urban Art Department for Creation and Development of Art Spaces for the order of Kish Island Urban Management in May 2018.
