Nostalgia Street is more than just a location; it’s a journey through time. Inspired by the decor of old London streets, this street takes you back in time as you walk among brick buildings, gas lamps, and vintage phone booths.
Nostalgia, as a powerful force, pulls us toward the past. This yearning to return to the joyful days of yesteryear lies deep within human psychology. Nostalgia Street provides a space to evoke these emotions, giving us the chance to recall bittersweet moments from our lives.
One iconic symbol of London is its vintage phone booths. In Nostalgia Street, two phone booths are featured, one of which is designed with inspiration from the works of Banksy, the renowned street artist. By reimagining this familiar symbol, Banksy shows us how a fresh perspective on the past can lead to a better future.
The phone booth, benches, and street lamps are not just aesthetic elements; they serve as interactive pieces. Visitors can engage with them by touching, photographing, or even imagining the conversations that might have taken place in these booths long ago.
This artistic piece was designed by the Saraj Center for Art Creation and Development and executed by the esteemed artist Mr. Chamani.
