On the Edge of Time” sculpture is inspired by the works of Alberto Giacometti. As seen in Giacometti’s pieces, the figure of the sculpture has an elongated and slender form, exaggerating the human body’s proportions. This feature gives the figure a fragile and vulnerable quality, questioning its balance and creating a sense of instability. Displaying this artwork alone in an empty space evokes feelings of isolation and alienation in the viewer.
Giacometti is one of the greatest sculptors of our time, and his works are among the most important art pieces of this era, which travelers of this starship will carry with them to another star.
This artwork was designed by the Center for Creation and Development of Artistic Spaces Saraj, and the execution was carried out by the esteemed artist Mehdi Zolfaqari.
