The famous painting “Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh is not only one of the most valuable artworks in the world, but it has also become a symbol of pride, appreciation, and belonging to a community within the Food City Star theme collection.
In this collection, “Starry Night” is not merely a decorative piece. This wall acts as the city’s “Wall of Fame,” where the names and memories of individuals who have served their city and community are honored with a special shine. Each star placed on this wall symbolizes gratitude for the efforts and achievements of these individuals. The presentation of each star takes place in a grand ceremony attended by prominent figures from the city.
The idea of installing stars in honor of notable individuals is inspired by the famous star-giving ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, in City Star, the stars are placed on an artistic wall, alongside one of the most famous artworks in the world, instead of the street.
This artwork was designed by the Center for the Creation and Development of Artistic Spaces, Saraj.
