This graffiti artwork is a contemporary and creative reinterpretation of the iconic painting The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.
Directly referencing The Last Supper, which depicts Jesus Christ and his apostles gathered around a table, one of history’s most renowned artistic scenes, the artist replaces the apostles with astronauts. This substitution highlights themes of future exploration and space discovery, adding a narrative of progress, innovation, and the pursuit of the unknown.
In another section of the graffiti, astronauts are shown in a state of suspension, seemingly rushing to disembark from a spacecraft to join the table scene of The Last Supper. The style of this work draws inspiration from the graffiti of Banksy.
This artistic piece was designed by the Siraj Center for Art Creation and Development and executed by the talented artist Milad Khaleghi.
