From ancient times to the present day, giant statues have been selected and built as an urban symbol in order to create identity patterns, history, religion or other technical and economic purposes. Generally, these statues refer to a specific event or figure that has a clear connection with the social identity of the people of the area. Some of these monuments, such as the Buddha statue, were destroyed in Afghanistan, and some, such as the 179-meter-high Vahdat statue, are newly built and emerging in India. The 31-meter-high statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. These statues are generally made of natural materials such as stone, bronze and metal, and recently built with new techniques and using fiberglass material.
At Saraaj Center for the Creation and Development of Art Spaces, we made great efforts in the past years to access the knowledge and technology of making giant statues in the world, and today, as one of the few art centers, we have the knowledge to make giant statues with fiberglass and metal materials for heights more than 100 meters
Therefore, we can mention the experience of making the statue of Rostam's glory as a comic character of Rostam as the superhero of The Hero’s Amusement Park at a height of approximately 14 meters, a process that lasted nearly six months and was a unique experience in Iranian amusement parks. This project was unveiled by the Saraaj Center for the Creation and Development of Art Spaces in July 2019, for the order of The Hero’s Amusement Park.

People’s welcoming of this experience and seeing the positive feedbacks of creating private spaces with giant statues caused Sazeh Sazan Company, as the employer of the Persian Gulf Water Desalination Project in Bandar Abbas, to order the design and building of the sailor’s project based on a local belief and story to us at Saraaj Center for Creation and Development of art spaces. This statue with a height of 20 meters was installed and unveiled as one of the largest statues in the country in September 2020 at the site of the Bandar Abbas desalination project.

In November 2019, Hossein Sabet, the great investor of the country and the father of Iran's hotel industry, based on his personal interest and concern for the national heroes of the country, made an exciting proposal to build a giant statue of Ferdowsi at a height of approximately 38 meters in Saraaj Center for Creation and Development of Art Spaces. The proposal was quickly welcomed, and technical feasibility studies for the sculpture, model making, and dimensional analysis of the pieces began. In less than 10 months and due to the problems of corona disease outbreak in the country, we made the statues using more than 250 different pieces, with the entrepreneurship of more than 100 specialists and artists of the country, and the sculpture will probably be unveiled this fall.

In addition, we can mention the concerns of the founder of the center in recent years and in the form of their managerial experiences in the country. One of the most important works installed in his managerial experiences is the order and installation of a valuable statue of the Sea Guard at a height of 16 meters in the Hoor hut on Kish Island with the valuable work of our country’s artist, Mr. Mohammad Salarian in 2014.

height of 8 meters in the port of Bushehr in the Persian Gulf is one of his most important managerial experiences as the artistic director of the Zhivar Art House Company, which was installed in 1995. The features of this sculpture are concreting the foundation of the sculpture at a distance of one tide in the sea (less than 8 hours) and installing the sculpture at a distance of 200 meters from the shore.
