The project to produce artistic sculptures for the Kish Resort and Amusement Park was one of the large and technically complex artistic projects in which SARAAJ Art Space Creation and Development Center designed and delivered part of the work. Conceived as a distinctive tourism and leisure destination, the four-hectare project on Kish Island was under construction and incorporated contemporary sculpture-production technologies.
More than fifty artists, engineers, technicians and workers from across Iran collaborated on the project. The sculptures were made from materials including fibreglass and metal. Each expressed stories drawn from history, mythology, culture and literature that had already been developed as part of the project’s theme and storytelling.
The production process used technologies including 3D scanning, 3D printing and dimensional analysis of monumental sculptures. These methods supported the precision and fine detail required for the works.
Fabrication took place simultaneously in Mashhad and Kish, demonstrating SARAAJ’s capacity to manage and deliver large, complex projects across two cities.
The project was subsequently suspended. The original article states that SARAAJ Art Space Creation and Development Center no longer has any collaboration with Parsis Zarmehr Kish, the project’s client.
