Farabazi’s shooting hall coordinates a sports programme with the venue’s lighting and colour identity. Shooting lanes, reception and surrounding surfaces illustrate the relationship between a specialised activity and the experience of a leisure setting.
Target shooting is an individual competitive sport in which participants are assessed on accuracy and, in some disciplines, speed. The highest score determines the winner. Its disciplines include rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting.
Rifle shooting tests precision and control. Target sports have a long history, with earlier forms of aiming practice including archery.
At the Farabazi sports and entertainment complex, Farabazi, we designed a shooting area around the requirements of the sport and the overall theme of the destination. The equipment used here consists of air pistols and air rifles.
With suitable instruction, this activity can also be enjoyed recreationally. The five lanes have lighting developed specifically for the theme. The design sought to accommodate both competitions and practice by experienced participants.
Specialised wall materials were used around the shooting area to help protect players and other park visitors and limit unwanted noise. The reception counter was also designed specifically for this section.
The shooting hall at Farabazi in Ghahramanan Amusement Park covers 100 square metres and comprises five lanes with a ten-metre distance between participant and target. Its lighting and colour scheme follow the theme of the overall complex.
